HD Liposculpture

High-Definition Liposculpture · Body Contouring

HD liposculpture uses targeted fat removal and surface sculpting to reveal underlying muscle contour. It suits people at a stable weight who want more definition, not weight loss.

Who this procedure suits

This procedure addresses stubborn, localised fat that persists despite diet and exercise, and enhances the visibility of natural muscle lines. It does not treat obesity or replace a healthy lifestyle, and it does not tighten loose skin.

A good candidate if

  • You are within a stable, healthy weight range
  • You have good skin elasticity
  • You exercise regularly and have some underlying muscle definition
  • You have realistic expectations about contour, not size reduction

Not suitable if

  • You have significant loose or excess skin
  • You are planning future pregnancy
  • You have a bleeding disorder or are on blood thinners
  • You have uncontrolled diabetes or heart disease

How the procedure is performed

Consultation

We assess your muscle tone, skin quality, and fat distribution, and discuss which areas can realistically be sculpted.

Preparation

Blood tests, photographs, and marking of muscle lines are done before surgery. You will be asked to stop certain medications and fast beforehand.

Surgery

Fat is removed in layers using fine cannulas, sculpting around muscle borders to create natural-looking definition.

Follow-up

You are reviewed within the first week, then at intervals over several months to monitor healing and final shape.

Recovery — what actually happens

Day 1-3Rest with compression garment on. Some soreness, swelling, and bruising are expected.
Week 1Light walking is encouraged. Avoid bending, lifting, or straining.
Week 2-4Gradual return to normal daily activity. Swelling continues to reduce.
Month 2-3Most swelling resolves and contour becomes more visible.
Month 6-12Final definition settles as tissues fully heal and skin retracts.

Honest medicine — the risks

Every surgical procedure carries potential risks. Risks vary with the procedure and your health, and the surgeon will discuss them with you along with the measures used to reduce them:

ScarringIncisions are small and placed in inconspicuous areas to minimise visible marks
InfectionSterile technique and antibiotics are used to reduce this risk
Delayed wound healingCareful tissue handling and compression support healthy recovery
ThromboembolismEarly mobilisation and compression stockings lower this risk
Contour irregularityMeticulous, layered technique aims for smooth, even results
Fluid accumulation (seroma)Compression garments and, if needed, drainage help prevent this
Skin numbness or altered sensationThis is usually temporary and resolves over several months

Frequently asked questions

Is HD liposculpture the same as regular liposuction?

No. Regular liposuction removes fat for volume reduction. HD liposculpture sculpts around muscle to create visible definition, and requires good starting muscle tone.

Will I lose a lot of weight?

No. This is a contouring procedure, not a weight-loss treatment. Weight change is usually minimal.

When will I see the final result?

Initial shape is visible after a few weeks, but full definition takes several months as swelling resolves and skin settles.

Does it tighten loose skin?

No. If you have excess or loose skin, this procedure will not correct it, and another approach may be more suitable.

Is the result permanent?

Fat cells removed do not return, but significant weight gain afterwards can change your results over time.

Is this procedure right for you?

The only correct answer comes from a clinical examination. Book a consultation — in person, or by video if you are outside the UAE.
